About ND 2023
Welcome to Networking Days (ND), the flagship event that marked the inception of ELIA back in 2007. Designed to bring together our esteemed members and industry stakeholders, ND2023 holds its place in the market and catalyses learning, knowledge-sharing, and networking. In our continuous pursuit to enhance the event experience, we embarked on an exciting transformation last year, adopting a fresh and unconventional “un-conference style” approach that fosters even greater exchange and interaction.
The revamped structure of ND offers a dynamic blend of Keynote presentations, engaging discussion groups, and a vibrant community, all geared towards fostering the sharing of valuable information and experiences amongst industry experts. It’s not just about acquiring knowledge; it’s about building lasting connections that can significantly benefit YOU!
We are thrilled to present the theme for this edition of Networking Days:
Hitting the ceiling? The next step in your company’s growth journey.
Join us at ND 2023 to immerse yourself in a rich tapestry of learning, sharing, networking, and, of course, having fun!
PROGRAMME
ND23 will consist of eight roundtable discussions where you choose the tables you want to sit at. During the event, you have the opportunity to engage in eight different discussions.

Event Opening and Introduction to Keynote
Time for the indispensable boss to let go?
Richard Lucas is a business and social entrepreneur whose career Show more...has spanned the roles of CEO, board member, investor, teacher, mentor, TEDx event organiser, and public speaker. He says: “I’ve done nothing as successful as Google, but some of the companies I invested in, like Argos Multilingual, are among the best in the world in their sector”.
He and Kimon Fountoukidis (the Founder of Argos Multilingual) have interviewed many leading figures in the global localisation industry on their Entrepreneurship and Leadership podcast on the NBN. At ND23, Richard will share his notable experience in how to build, organise and equip management teams and how to prevent the key people in your company from becoming the bottlenecks for its growth.

This changes everything – LangOps beyond translation
Chief Business Officer at Semantix, Britta Aagaard also serves Show more...on the board of directors of GALA and LT-Innovate and is part of the LIND Expert Group of the European Commission, with the ambition to position the language industry in the intersection of humanity and AI.
Britta has been one of the pioneers behind LangOps, a new paradigm for the language industry and multilingual AI at large. With the rapid progression of AI, now is the time to embrace the change and adopt forward-looking business strategies.
At ND23 Britta will share her perspective on LangOps and how it is not just about technology but rather a set of philosophies, practices, and tools that dramatically increase an organisation's ability to communicate with its global customer base. It changes the roles of technologies and everyone in the multilingual ecosystem, thus opening up growth opportunities for those who are ready to adapt. Britta will particularly address the future of smaller, more regional LSPs in this new LangOps ecosystem.
