The ELIA Together 2023 team is thrilled to invite you to the ELIA Together 2023 conference that will take place in Rome, on 𝟐𝟑 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟐𝟒 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑.

Founded in 2005, ELIA is the European non-profit trade association of language service companies with a mission to accelerate the business success of its members.
This is the seventh edition of our ELIA Together event and fourth live event!
The ELIA Together events are a place for discussing the present and future of the language trade with industry leaders, language service companies and freelancers. You can expect immersive sets of presentations and innovative industry fairs for our 2023 edition!

In 2023, ELIA Together will focus on the stories that pinpoint the ever-evolving industry of localisation.

The theme chosen for the seventh edition is 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐎𝐓𝐒!

By putting its multiple stories in the spotlight through inquisitive presentations, networking and panel discussions, the conference will highlight the many layers that make localisation a unique industry. We will look at translation technology, peer into the lives of the people who build this fascinating industry and open a window to the new opportunities for growth in the market.

The 2023 edition will host two tracks: “Once Upon a Time…” and “…Making Happy Ends Meet”. Please read the description notes for each track and submit your proposal according to the theme that best describes your area of interest and expertise. The Together 2023 Programme Committee will assess every application submitted and put you in contact with experts and professionals coming from all over the world.

There is no single way to look at a story, and we want to hear yours.
Speakers interested in joining this track may submit a proposal on the following topics:

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐁 – …𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭

This track is dedicated to drawing lines between the different poles in our trade. Technology and humans, LSPs and Freelancers, hard and soft skills.
A beautiful picture will emerge once you connect the dots.
Speakers interested in joining this track may submit a proposal on the following topics:
● Collaboration between LSPs and freelancers
● Technologies creating new work opportunities
● Localisation Teamwork – best practices and soft skills, mentorship
● Soft skills and other tools and tricks of the trade
● Industry trends
● Audiovisual and Translation
