About Us

CLINTER’s inception dates back to 1846 in the Canary Islands and it thus,
possibly, Spain’s oldest translation firm still in existence; headquartered, since the 1960’s, at the very heart of Madrid. In 2004, most of its translation and interpretation activities were spun off to incorporate a new Public Limited Company, the current CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES
S.A. Our current registered office is located in one of Madrid’s top locations
between the Congress of Deputies and the Ministry of Health and directly in
front of the Prado Museum.

CLINTER is a highly specialised firm in the field of legal and financial
translations, being very much the Spanish leader in our niche market of sworn translations and interpretations. For over a century and a half, it has counted amongst its clients Spain’s major private corporations and public bodies and expanded several decades ago to service international firms and organisations.

We translate from all the major languages into and from Spanish and comply
with the most stringent quality standards within the language industry holding, of course, the UNE-EN ISO 17100:2015, UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNE-ISO 18587:2020, standard certifications.
