About Us

Established in March 1989, SOFITA is the first private translation agency in Bulgaria and the first one certified under the European Translation Standard EN15038 (now ISO17100). Apart from its legal database product – APIS-SOFITA BG LAW - encompassing all primary Bulgarian legislation translated into English, SOFITA provides interpreting, translation and localization services and is one of the Bulgarian translation provider of the EU institutions. The company is initiator and founder of the Bulgarian Association of Professional Interpreting & Translation Agencies.
The core service areas we operate in are Translation, Localization, Subtitling and Captioning, Interpreting, Voiceover and Dubbing, Machine Translation Post Editing and Transcreation.
