This year, ELIA marks a special milestone: our 20th anniversary. And we’re excited to celebrate it with you at Networking Days 2025 in Budapest. For two decades, ELIA has been the home of collaboration, connection, and growth for language service professionals across Europe and beyond.
Our anniversary celebration will bring together past and present ELIA Board Members, recognising the vision and dedication of those who helped shape our association from the very beginning, as well as our ELIA Team, ELIA Member Companies, and of course, YOU!
Alongside the ND 2025 sessions, we have lined up some memorable social events: welcome drinks, a networking activity exploring ELIA’s history, a special anniversary celebration during the Networking Dinner, and a river cruise to close the event in style.
In the lead-up, we’ve also been sharing stories through our series ELIA Board Stories, revisiting the journeys, insights, and personal reflections of Board Members through articles and social media posts.
Stay tuned, as this series is also being expanded soon to our dear ELIA Member Companies!
But we’re not stopping there! Our 20th anniversary celebrations also include a fundraising initiative, launched at Together 2025 in Barcelona, and raises funds for Translators without Borders and CLEAR Global through fun challenges, ensuring our milestone also contributes to a greater cause.
At ND 25, we took a look back at ELIA’s journey through speeches from Roberto Ganzerli, Françoise Bajon and Diego Cresceri, celebrated the present, and looked ahead at the future of our industry and association together! It was truly a special event with memorable celebrations.
“There is a certain something about ELIA that I cannot quite put my finger on. I always feel at ease in ELIA spaces. There is a real sense of camaraderie and genuine support that is hard to come by. That for me is what defines ELIA.”
