About Me
I am a licensed social worker and a professional interpreter. I have done all my academic work on language access, namely, how interpretation and translation can impact the world of people who don't speak a dominant language by improving their outcomes in public services.
I have created an interprofessional-graduate-level-class on language access for the University of Maryland to teach nurses, dentists, social workers, pharmacists, lawyers, and physicians why professional interpretation and translation matters in their professions. The class is set out to be taught in the fall of 2023.
I am willing to travel to give talks.
