About Me
Devaki comes with an experience of over 23 years in the language industry. She heads the family business, LANGUAGE SERVICES BUREAU, established by her mother MRS MADHURI DATAR, in 1979. She has been instrumental in the growth of the company, its professionalization and ISO 9001-2015 certification recently.
In 2018, she launched an 'Orientation Course in Translation' to introduce the profession to freshers, which includes assignments using CAT tools, after some basic theoretical introduction to translation. A professional outlook, guidance from quote to billing, details on localisation, transcreation, etc. are some of the important points covered during the course. Promising trainees are provided with short term internship opportunities to help them make an informed decision about becoming a translator.
An avid reader, passionate painter, trekker-explorer at heart, Sustainability Champion, advanced yoga practitioner, she enjoys working in the Environment domain together with her language and culture knowledge.
