Have you secured your ELIA’s Focus on Executives 2025 place? Are you getting ready for your trip to Limassol?
Here’s your practical guide to all the handy information you may need for your stay, so you can relax and focus on making the most of your time at the event.
Venue & Accommodation:

The event will take place on 15-16 May 2025 at the 5-star St Raphael Resort & Marina, set on Limassol’s beautiful Blue Flag beach. The resort serves as the main accommodation for attendees too, offering convenience and luxury all in one.
Getting Around Limassol:
Limassol is easy to explore:
- Public buses: EMEL operates reliable local routes, including the popular No. 30, which runs along the seafront and connects the main city areas. Day trips are €1.5 and night ones €2.5.
- Taxis: Taxis are widely available throughout. For airport transfers, pre-booking is recommended.
- Walking: The city’s promenade and old town are pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around.
The Local Cuisine:
Cypriot cuisine blends Greek, Turkish, and Middle Eastern influences.
We recommend you taste the local cuisine through a meze, which is a spread of small dishes to share, such as grilled halloumi, sheftalies (spiced meatballs), and koupepia (stuffed vine leaves). Don’t forget the famous moussaka, with layers of aubergine, minced meat, and béchamel sauce, and the popular loukanika, a smoked pork sausages marinated in red wine. Ready for dessert? Baklava won’t disappoint! Expect a sweet pastry with nuts and honey.

Local tavernas and beachfront restaurants offer authentic experiences to taste local cuisine—perfect for some informal networking with your new and old industry friends.
Handy Greek Phrases:
English is widely spoken throughout Limassol, but a few Greek words will go a long way and will help you connect with the locals and learn more about the culture:
- Hello: Γειά σας (Yia sas)
- Good morning: Καλημέρα (Kaliméra)
- Please: Παρακαλώ (Parakaló)
- Thank you: Ευχαριστώ (Efcharistó)
- Yes / No: Ναι (Ne) / Όχι (Óchi)
- Goodbye (informal, or to one person): Γειά σου (Yia sou)
- Goodbye (formal or plural): Γειά σας (Yia sas)
Fun fact: Both Γειά σου (Yia sou) and Γειά σας (Yia sas) literally mean “health to you” and can be used for both hello and goodbye. Think of it as like “ciao” in Italian.
